Put the computer to sleep after some successful runs. But I'm not the only one falling into that misread (because as you note, Meta could be doing a better job explaining limitations etc, I believe that's what you were referring to as well.)Īfter hard resetting everything and following along I got it running. Now I get what you're saying.Īs for connecting to it wirelessly not being the intended use. Meta's support should at least be able to explain that fact clearly to a customer, and they should be aware of the limitation so they can quickly identify a misconfigured customer. If you're saying that people should be able to use it system-wide just because it's there, I don't agree. It's designed for the Air Link connection. If you connect to the Air Bridge as your Quest's normal, system-wide wireless connection, then you're not using the product as intended. Link isn't going to start while Beat Saber is running, whether you're using Air Bridge or not, so Air Bridge isn't involved. If you're playing Beat Saber on the Quest, you're connected to your normal access point, and you have Internet access. It's the Quest that doesn't have Internet access while you're using the Air Bridge as its connection, which should only be the case while you're in the Air Link session. Air Bridge doesn't disable the PC's Internet access whether it's in use or not. If you're playing on PC, the PC has internet access. ![]() It is just more of a convenience thing and I have seen no drop in performance by doing so.)Įither you're playing your modded Beat Saber on your PC via a Link / Air Link session, or you're playing on your Quest. (EDIT: I just want to point out this is not required. (EDIT: Under the sharing tab I also went to settings and turned on all protocols, but this may or may not be needed.) I will continue testing and see if I run into other issues. Once I had shared my Internet connection from my default adapter to the virtual adapter, the Headset immediately gained Internet access. The other is a "Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter", which in my case is "Local Area Connection* 12". One is the D-Link itself which is easy to identify. When the VR Bridge installed it added TWO new network options into this panel. I am guessing this may be different between systems. Then I selected the following network from the drop down "Local Area Connection* 12". I right clicked went to properties and then the sharing tab. I opened Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center and found my PCs wired nic card. It will connect, but you will have no Internet on it. They basically tell you how to plug in the device and then how to connect your headset to it. ![]() The default instructions for this thing are totally lacking what you need.
